Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1317342 Size: SH

    Warning:  When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement.
  2. Using a grease pencil, mark the position of the hood hinge to the body.
  3. Remove the upper fender bolts.
  4. Remove the hinge bolts and the hinge.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1317342 Size: SH
  1. Position the hood hinge to the alignment marks on the vehicle.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the hood hinge to body bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the hood hinge to body bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement.
  4. Install the upper fender bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the hood hinge to body bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Close the hood.
