Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2009 🢒 G8 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.2L, or 3.6L 🢒 Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement.
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1957934 Size: SH
  3. Remove the drive belt idler pulley to accessory drive mounting bracket retaining bolt (1).
  4. Remove the dished washer (4) and drive belt idler pulley (3) from the accessory drive mounting bracket (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1957934 Size: SH
  1. Install the dished washer (4) and drive belt idler pulley (3) to the accessory drive mounting bracket (2).
  2. Hand tighten the drive belt idler pulley to accessory drive mounting bracket retaining bolt (1).

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the drive belt idler pulley with the accessory drive mounting bracket retaining bolt and tighten to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).
  4. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  5. Install the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement.
