Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2009 🢒 G8 🢒 Diagnostic Navigation 🢒 Vehicle Diagnostic Information 🢒 Throttle Body Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1949863 Size: SH
  3. Remove the throttle body electrical connector (1) from the throttle body.

    4. Object Number: 1949868 Size: SH
  4. Remove the throttle body bolts to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (1).
  5. Remove the throttle body and gasket from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Carefully clean the throttle body mounting surfaces of any gasket and/or sealing material.

    2. Object Number: 1949868 Size: SH
  2. Install the throttle body and NEW gasket to the vehicle.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the throttle body bolts to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 1949863 Size: SH
  4. Install the throttle body electrical connector (1) to the throttle body.
  5. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement.
  6. Perform the throttle learn procedure. Refer to Throttle Learn.
  7. Use the scan tool to clear all DTCs.
