The headliner is a one-piece composite substrate that is covered with a foam cloth facing. The construction of the composite substrate does not allow for replacement of the cloth facing and requires that the headlining substrate and cloth be serviced as a complete assembly. The electrical wiring harness for the roof lighting is not a serviceable item and should not be removed from the headliner. In the event that the harness needs to be serviced, the entire headliner assembly must be replaced. The headliner is supported to the roof panel by push-in retaining clips which are attached to the rear composite substrate. Additional support is provided in front by the sunshades and interior attachments. If the vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, there are six patches of velcro™ material around the sunroof opening which add extra support for the headliner.
