For 1990-2009 cars only
Removal Procedure
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
- Remove the speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Lower Speaker Replacement.
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.
- Raise and support the window in the full up position.
- Loosen the window regulator to window glass retaining bolts (1).
- Support the window glass.
- Lower the window regulator approximately 1/2 way down.
- Disconnect the window regulator electrical connector (1).
- Remove the window regulator to door retaining bolts (1).
- Remove the window regulator (2) through the large access hole in the door (1).
Installation Procedure
- Position the window regulator (2) through the large access hole in the door (1).
- Install the window regulator to door retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Remove the support from the window.
- Lower the window into the window regulator clamps.
- Connect the window regulator electrical connector (1).
- Start the vehicle to make sure maximum power to the window motor. This is required to fully seat the window for adjustment.
- Raise the window to the full up position.
- Tighten the window regulator to window glass retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
- Inspect the window for correct operation and a tight seal.
- Shut off the vehicle.
- Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.
- Install the speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Lower Speaker Replacement.
- Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
