Data Display/Definitions
The Scan Tool Data Display/Definitions contains a brief description of all the
ABS/TCS data parameters. The menus available depend on the number and type of system
on the vehicle and are listed below in alphanumeric order.
ABS Warning Lamp: The scan tool will display On or Off depending
on the state of the ABS indicator.
ABS Pump Motor: The scan tool displays On or Off - This parameter
indicates the state of the ABS pump motor.
ABS Relay Feedback: The scan tool display On /Off. This is the
commanded state of the relay.
Brake Switch Status: The scan tool displays Applied or Released
- The scan tool displays the state of the brake switch.
Desired Throttle Position: The scan tool displays % - The scan
tool displays in percent the requested throttle opening.
DTC Status: The scan tool will display Yes/No. This will indicate
the status of DTCs.
Engine Speed: The scan tool displays 0-10200 RPM
- This is essentially a digital tachometer display.
LF Inlet Valve Solenoid: The scan tool will display Active or
Inactive. The scan tool displays the commanded state of the LF inlet solenoid valve.
LF Outlet Valve Solenoid: The scan tool will display Active
or Inactive. The scan tool displays the commanded state of the LF outlet solenoid
valve.
Left Front Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h
or (0-158 mph). The scan tool displays the actual speed of the left
front wheel.
Left Rear Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h
or (0-158 mph). The scan tool displays the actual speed of the left
rear wheel.
Low Trac: TCS Active: The scan tool displays Off or On. The
scan tool displays On if the TCS indicator is currently being commanded ON.
Low Traction Lamp: The scan tool will display On/Off. This will
indicate the state of the LOW TRAC Indicator.
LR Inlet Valve Solenoid: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive.
The scan tool displays the commanded state of the LR inlet solenoid valve.
LR Outlet Valve Solenoid: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive.
The scan tool displays the commanded state of the LR outlet solenoid valve.
Part Number: The scan tool displays the part number of the control
module.
Pump Monitor Status: The scan tool display On /Off. This is
the commanded state of the pump.
RF Inlet Valve Solenoid: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive.
The scan tool displays the commanded state of the RF inlet solenoid valve.
RF Outlet Valve Solenoid: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive.
The scan tool displays the commanded state of the RF outlet solenoid valve.
Right Front Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h
or (0-158 mph). The scan tool displays the actual speed of the right
front wheel.
Right Rear Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h
or 0-158 mph - The scan tool displays the actual speed of the rear wheels.
RR Inlet Valve Solenoid: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive.
The scan tool displays the commanded state of the RF inlet solenoid valve.
RR Outlet Valve Solenoid: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive.
The scan tool displays the commanded state of the RF outlet solenoid valve.
Stop Lamp Switch Status: The scan tool displays Applied or Released
- The scan tool displays the state of the stop lamp switch.
System Type: The scan tool displays the system identification
number.
TCS Active: The scan tool displays Off or On. The scan tool
displays On if the TCS indicator is currently being commanded ON.
TCS Spark Retard Request: The scan tool displays N-m. Request
to reduce spark timing, and torque.
TCS Switch State: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool
will display the state of the Traction Control Switch.
TCS Warning Lamp: The scan tool will display On or Off depending
on the state of the TCS indicator.
Throttle Angle: The scan tool displays % - The scan tool displays
in percent of throttle opening.
Throttle Pedal Position: The scan tool displays % - The scan
tool displays in percent the throttle opening.
Traction Control Equipped: The scan tool will display Yes/No.
This will indicate if the vehicle is equipped with TCS.
Valve Relay State: The scan tool displays On or Off - This parameter
indicates the state of the valve relay.
