Subject: | Interior Noise From HVAC Blower Fan (Remove Remaining Foam Rubber Seal from Leaf Screen) |
Models: | 2004-2005 Pontiac GTO |
Some customers may comment on interior noise from the HVAC blower fan.
This noise may be caused by loose foam rubber particles that come in contact with the blower fan. The foam rubber may have come from the seal which is attached to the leaf screen, located at the A/C evaporator air intake (item 3 shown in the illustration).
If investigation of blower fan noise indicates the cause to be particles of loose foam rubber in the blower fan, remove all remaining foam rubber seal from the leaf screen and refit the screen without the seal.
