The Seat return position switch is the button which is under the seat back pull up lever at the top of the seatback. The seat entry position switch is attached to the pull up lever inside the seat. The module sends out 12 volts to both switches. When the seat lever is pulled up the seat entry position switch closes taking the 12 volts low. This lets the module know that you want the seat to go forward. If the seat entry position switch is open (i.e. - lever not pulled up and seatback in the folded back position) the seat will return rearward when the seat return position switch is pressed.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
