The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Information on which model years are equipped with backlit steering wheel controls.
Recommendation/Instructions:
ONLY the 2006 Pontiac GTO is equipped with backlit steering wheel controls. The 2004-2005 GTOs are NOT equipped with backlit steering wheel controls.
Note:: Backlit steering wheel controls cannot be added to the 2004-2005 GTO due to different wire harnesses and other components.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
