Service VME - Forward Side Marker Lamp Splices - keywords 161 162 body component diagrams electrical harness lights routing S161 S4162 schematic

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

This is a VME going out to Pontiac Dealers regarding 2005 GTOs. This is regarding an update to the SI Document ID # 1521483 for the forward side marker lamps. There is a correction in the SI Document ID # 1521483 which covers the forward side marker lamps. Splice locations 161 and 162 are mislabeled on the schematic diagrams and do not exist. Splice 161 is really splice 154 and its location can be found in SI under the body wiring system schematics and routing diagrams for the right hand IP splice locations. Splice 162 is really splice 155 and its location can be found in SI under body wiring system schematics and routing diagrams right hand body harness views. Hopefully this will correct any confusion that may have arisen when trying to diagnose concerns related to these splice locations. This is Kobie Glen BQM for the Pontiac GTO.
