Schematic Reference: Wiper/Washer Schematics

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information

1. Disconnect the wiper/washer switch connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON, with the engine OFF.

Is the washer still on?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Repair the short to ground and short to battery voltage condition in the washer control circuit between the wiper/washer switch and the washer pump. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 5

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 5

1. Turn the ignition switch ON, with the engine OFF.
2. Operate the washer pump.

Does the washer pump operate properly?

System OK
