To ensure proper engagement of the lock tabs of the grille to the headlamp support, during service or replacement, the following procedure is to be used.
Remove or Disconnect
1. Loosen energy absorber to bumper bar nuts to allow fascia to lower slightly.
2. Gently lift upper grille tabs.
3. Grille Assembly
Install or Connect
1. Lower grille tabs into slots
2. Grille Assembly
3. Position fascia for even 8.0 mm (.315") spacing below grille and tighten energy absorber to bumper bar nuts (30 N.m/22 lbs ft.)
