Important: A short to ground will cause an open fuse(s). Before performing this diagnostic procedure, inspect the fuse(s) for an open.

  1. Disconnect the hazard switch connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal C of the hazard switch connector and ground.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Connect a test lamp between terminal A and terminal C of the hazard switch connector.

Does the test lamp light?

Backprobe the left IP junction block connector C1 with a test lamp between terminal B4 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Reconnect the hazard switch connector.
  2. Backprobe the hazard switch connector with a test lamp between terminal F and ground.
  3. Turn the left turn signal ON.

Does the test lamp flash?

Repair the open in CKT 150 between the hazard switch and ground splice pack G201. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 739 between the left IP junction block and the hazard switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the left IP junction block.

Replace the hazard switch.

  1. Backprobe the turn/headlamp switch assembly connector C2 with a test lamp between terminal D and ground.
  2. Leave the left turn signal ON.

Does the test lamp flash?

Repair the open in CKT 16 between the hazard switch and the turn/headlamp switch assembly. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
