TOWING MANUAL CHANGE

Vehicles Affected: 1988 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX SE ----------------- SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE --------------------- The 1988 Pontiac Grand Prix SE rear towing procedure has changed.

The 1988 General Motors passenger car and Light Duty Truck Towing Manual (T- 59) does not state the following change:

Attach "T" hook chains to slots in bottom of floor pan just ahead rear wheels.

Position 4 X 4 wooden timber across sling chains with spacer blocks contacting tow pads. (See Illustration).

Position lower sling crossbar against the lower rear edge of bumper guards.

Attach separate safety chains around lower control arms.
