SOME VEHICLES MAY SET ABS DTCS 1221, 1222, 1225, 1226, 1232 AND 1233. THESE DTCS MAY BE INTERMITTENT DEPENDING ON THE HUMIDITY AND/OR MOISTURE.
THE ABS DTC(S) MAY BE CAUSED BY THE LCA COTTER PIN END RUBBING THROUGH THE INSULATION ON ONE OR BOTH OF THE FRONT WHEEL ABS SENSOR WIRE(S).
THIS CONDITION MAY NOT BE DUPLICATED IF THE VEHICLE DRIES OFF. HOWEVER, THE MIS-POSITIONED COTTER PIN END IS EASY TO LOCATE. TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION, THE FRONT BEARING AND HUB ASSEMBLY(S) MUST BE REPLACED. ALSO, REPOSITION THE COTTER PIN END(S) AND/OR CUT THE END OFF.
WHEN CORRECTING THIS CONDITION, MAKE SURE THE END OF THE COTTER PIN IS NOT BENT INTO THE DRIVE AXLE BOOT.
