Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check

1. Turn the ignition to OFF.
2. Disconnect wiper/washer switch connector C201.
3. Turn the wiper switch to DELAY.
4. Using a DMM set to the ohms scale, measure the resistance through the wiper/washer switch assembly from connector C201 terminal E9 to terminal E3.
5. Move the wiper switch through the entire delay range, one notch at a time.

Does the resistance vary from approximately 39 Kohms to 680 Kohms?

Replace the wiper/washer switch assembly. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check

--

1. Reconnect the wiper/washer switch connector C201.
2. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
4. Turn the wiper switch to DELAY.
5. Using a DMM, measure the voltage from the wiper motor connector terminal E to ground.

Is battery voltage present?

10.5-15 volts

Go to Step 5

Repair the poor connection condition or the open circuit condition in CKT 112.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the wiper motor cover assembly. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .
