  1. Disconnect the trip calculator/ driver information connector.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  3. Set the headlamp dimmer switch to the MAX position.
  4. Use a DMM in order to measure the voltage between the trip calculator/ driver information display harness connector terminal B 1/P and ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

9-14 Volts

Go to Step 4

Use a DMM in order to backprobe between the headlamp switch harness connector terminal H and ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

9-14 Volts

Go to Step 3

  1. Repair the poor connection or the open in CKT 8 between the trip calculator/ driver information display harness connector terminal B 1/P and the headlamp switch harness terminal H.
  2. Inspect the system.

Is the symptom still present?

System OK

Move the headlamp dimmer switch tot he MIN position while observing the DMM.

Does the voltage drop as the dimmer switch is moved from the MAX position to the MIN position?

Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between the trip calculator/ driver information display harness connector terminals B 1/P and B 4/O.

Is the voltage the same as it was in Step 4?

  1. Repair the poor connection or the open in CKT 1450 between the trip calculator/ driver information display harness connector terminal B 4/O and G200.
  2. Inspect the system.

Is the symptom still present?

  1. Replace the trip calculator/ driver information display. Refer to Driver Information Center Module Replacement .
  2. Inspect the system.
