Removal Procedure

Important: Remove the IP upper trim slowly in order to prevent the retainer clips from falling into the IP.


    Object Number: 311611  Size: SH
  1. Lift up the instrument panel upper trim panel approximately 51 mm (2 in) and pull rearward in order to release the instrument panel (IP) upper trim panel retainers.

  2. Object Number: 313023  Size: SH
  3. Remove the security indicator lamp. Refer to Lamp Replacement - Security Indicator in Theft Deterrent.

  4. Object Number: 313027  Size: SH
  5. Remove the daytime running lamp ambient light sensor. Refer to Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) Ambient Light Sensor Replacement in Lighting.
  6. Remove the sun load sensor. Refer to Sun Load Sensor Replacement in HVAC.
  7. Remove the IP upper trim panel from the IP.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 313023  Size: SH
  1. Install the security indicator lamp. Refer to Lamp Replacement - Security Indicator in Theft Deterrent.

  2. Object Number: 313027  Size: SH
  3. Install the daytime running lamp ambient light sensor. Refer to Instrument Panel Courtesy Lamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting.
  4. Install the sun load temperature sensor. Refer to Sun Load Sensor Replacement in HVAC.

  5. Object Number: 311611  Size: SH
  6. Align the instrument panel (IP) upper trim panel locating pins and retainers with the slots in the IP.
  7. Important: The 3 retainers to the rear of the HUD unit, on HUD equipped vehicles, must be installed last and must be pushed down from the LH to the RH.

  8. Push down and forward on the IP upper trim panel in order to lock the IP upper trim panel into place.
