Did you perform the Automatic Day-Night Mirrors System Check?

Go to Automatic Day-Night Mirrors System Check

1. Disconnect the mirror connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
3. Set the gear selector lever to the reverse position.
4. Use a test light to probe between the inside rearview mirror connector terminal 3 and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

1. Disconnect the park neutral position (PNP) switch connector C1.
2. Use a test light to backprobe between the (PNP) switch connector C1 terminal B and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 8

Inspect circuit 24.

Did you find a poor connection or open in circuit 24?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the inside rearview mirror. Refer to Inside Rearview Mirror Replacement for service procedure.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the poor connection or the open in circuit 24.

Is the repair complete?

Replace or adjust the park neutral position (PNP) switch. Refer to the following procedures:
