The automatic door locks do not lock or unlock when you use any of the following components:

    • The door lock switches
    • The key cylinder lock switch
    • The keyless entry transmitter

All of the automatic door lock features are inoperative.

  1. Remove the PWR LOCK fuse.
  2. Inspect the PWR LOCK fuse.

Is the PWR LOCK fuse open?

--

Go to Step 4

  1. Replace the PWR LOCK fuse.
  2. Press LOCK and then UNLOCK on either door lock switch.
  3. Remove the PWR LOCK fuse.
  4. Inspect the PWR LOCK fuse again.

Is the PWR LOCK fuse open again?

Use a test light in order to backprobe between the BCM connector C1 terminal H and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

  1. Manually lock all of the vehicle doors.
  2. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  3. Connect a 25A fused jumper between the BCM harness connector C1 terminal C and ground.
  4. Observe the driver's door lock and momentarily connect a jumper between B+ and the BCM harness connector C1 terminal A.
  5. Observe the passenger door lock and momentarily connect a jumper between B+ and the BCM harness connector C1 terminal B.

Do all of the vehicle doors unlock?

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  2. Connect a test light between B+ and the BCM connector C1 terminal H.

Does the test light illuminate?

Connect a test light between B+ and the BCM connector C1 terminal C.

Does the test light illuminate?

Connect a test light between the BCM connector C1 terminal C and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

Repair the poor connection or the open in circuit 1540.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Inspect the BCM connector C1 terminal H for poor terminal contact.
  2. Repair the terminal as needed.
  3. If the BCM connector C1 terminal H does not require repair, replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Repair the poor connection or the open in circuit 295.

Repair the short to ground in circuit 1540.

Repair the short to ground in circuit 294 and circuit 295, as needed.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the short to B+ in circuit 294 and circuit 295, as needed.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Connect all of the connectors.
  3. Install any components that you removed.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position for 6 seconds.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  6. Remove the MALL PGM fuse.
  7. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.

    8. The BCM will sound the chime. The number of times that the chime sounds corresponds to the type of BCM installed to the vehicle.

  8. Within 1 second, turn the ignition switch from the ACC position to the OFF position, then back to the ACC position. The BCM will sound any DTCs that are stored.

Are there any BCM DTCs?
