Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

Inspect the left outside rearview mirror.

Is the left outside rearview mirror inoperative?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 7

1. Disconnect the left outside rearview mirror.
2. Use a test light in order to probe between the left outside rearview mirror connector terminal A and ground.
3. Set the outside mirror select switch to the left mirror.
4. Set and hold the outside remote control rearview mirror switch to the right position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 4

Inspect circuit 81 for a poor connection or an open.

Did you find a poor connection or an open in circuit 81?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair the poor connection or the open in circuit 81.

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

Replace the outside remote control rearview mirror switch. Refer to Front Door Switch Replacement .

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

1. Disconnect the right outside rearview mirror.
2. Use a test light in order to probe between the right outside rearview mirror connector terminal A and ground.
3. Set the outside mirror select switch to the right mirror.
4. Set and hold the outside remote control rearview mirror switch to the right position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 9

Replace the mirror motor pack within the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Replacement .

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

Inspect circuit 881 for a poor connection or an open.

Did you find a poor connection or an open in circuit 881?

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 11

Repair the poor connection or the open in circuit 881.

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

Replace the outside remote control rearview mirror switch. Refer to Front Door Switch Replacement .
