A clear waterproof sound deadener deflector seals the door
inner panel. The deadener also prevents entry of water into the body. Pressure-sensitive
adhesive located on the outboard surface of the deflector secures the deflector
to the door inner panel. The deflector may be peeled back as needed in
order to service the door components.
Removal Procedure
- Remove the trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Carefully peel the water
deflector away from the door.
Installation Procedure
- Align the water deflector
to the door inner panel to the door.
- Use the roller around the periphery of the deflector in order
to ensure proper seating.
- Install waterproof tape to any damaged areas of the deflector.
