Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat head restraint.

Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement
.
- Remove the manual lumbar handle and the trim ring, if equipped.
- Position the seat full forward and the seat back full up.
- Remove the nut that secures the seal belt to the seat stud. Refer
to
Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Left Front
and to
Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Front
in Seat Belts.
- Unfasten the J-hook retainers at the bottom of the seat.
- Pull out the seat back cover end flaps.
- Position the seat back full down.
- Reach inside of the seat back cover and unfasten the hook and
loop retainers that secure the front seat back cover to the pad.
- Position the seat back to the vertical position.
- If equipped with heated seats, pull up
the trim cover one third.
• | Disconnect the seat heater wire connector, light green, from under
the seat cushion. |
• | Pull the wire through the back foam pad. |
- Pull up the trim cover two thirds.
- Remove the seat back cardboard panel.
- Remove the front seat head restraint retainer. Refer to
Front Seat Head Restraint Retainer Replacement
.
- Remove the cover from the seat back by
pulling the cover up and over the pad.
Installation Procedure
- Install the seat back cardboard panel.
- Position the seat back cover to the pad.
- If equipped with heated seats, pull down
the trim cover two thirds.
• | Pull the wire through the back foam pad. |
• | Connect the seat heater wire connector. |
- Pull the seat back cover down, over the pad.
- Use firm hand pressure to fasten the
hook and loop retainers, securing the cover to the pad.
- Install the front seat head restraint retainer. Refer to
Front Seat Head Restraint Retainer Replacement
.
- Install the J-hook retainers at the bottom
of the seat back cover.
- Install the seat back cover end flaps.
- Install the manual lumbar handle and trim ring, if equipped.
- Install the front seat head restraint. Refer to
Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement
