Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 317129  Size: MH
  1. Position the sunroof glass panel in the fully closed position.
  2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the following components:
  4. • The actuator
    • The express module
  5. Disconnect the rear drain hoses from the sunroof module.
  6. Disconnect the front drain hoses from the sunroof module.
  7. Have an assistant support the sunroof module before removing the bolts.
  8. Remove the sunroof module to roof bolts.
  9. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle roof, with an assistant.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the sunroof module to the vehicle roof, with an assistant.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the sunroof module to roof bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof module to roof bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the front drain hoses to the sunroof module.
  6. Connect the rear drain hoses to the sunroof module.
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the following components:
  8. • The actuator
    • The express module
  9. Inspect for proper operation of the sunroof.
  10. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
