Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster (IPC) trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 655874  Size: SH
  3. Remove the rubber knob from the trip meter reset stem by pulling rearward.

  4. Object Number: 655872  Size: SH
  5. Remove the IPC lens screws.

  6. Object Number: 655868  Size: SH
  7. Remove the IPC lens.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the lens to the IPC.

  2. Object Number: 655872  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the IPC lens screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  5. Remove the protective cover from the instrument cluster lens, if new.
  6. Push the rubber knob onto the trip meter reset stem.

  7. Install the IPC trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
