Removal Procedure
- Lower the headliner. Refer
to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior
Trim.
- Remove the right I/P insulator. Refer to
Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side
in Instrument Panel,
Gages and Console.
- Remove the right front carpet retainer. Refer to
Front Carpet Retainer Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Pull back the carpet for access.
- Disconnect the I/P antenna extension cable from the antenna cable.
- Disconnect the antenna
cable from the rear window.
- Remove the screw from the antenna extension cable bracket.
Important: Take note of the antenna cable routing before removal from the vehicle.
- Remove the tape from the antenna cable.
- Remove the antenna cable.
Installation Procedure
- Position the antenna cable
to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolt to the antenna extension cable bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Connect the antenna cable to the rear window.
- Connect the antenna cable to the roof side rail using tape.
- Connect the I/P antenna
extension cable to the antenna cable.
- Reposition the front carpet.
- Install the right front carpet retainer. Refer to
Front Carpet Retainer Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Install the right I/P insulator. Refer to
Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side
in Instrument Panel,
Gages and Console.
- Install the headliner. Refer to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim
