Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement - Right Upper L26

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.



2. Remove the right engine mount strut at the upper engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side .



3. Loosen the lower engine mount strut bracket nut.
4. Remove the lower engine mount strut bracket bolts.
5. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .



6. Remove the upper engine mount strut bracket bolts.
7. Remove the upper engine mount strut bracket.

1. Install the upper engine mount strut bracket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the upper engine mount strut bracket bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .



4. Install the lower engine mount strut bracket bolts.

•	Tighten the lower engine mount strut bracket nut.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

•	Tighten the lower engine mount strut bracket bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).




5. Install the right engine mount strut at the upper engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side .
6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.

Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement - Right Upper L32

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.



2. Remove the ignition coil. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L (L26 and L32).
3. Remove the supercharger drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .



4. Remove the upper supercharger drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement - Upper .



5. Remove the supercharger drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Supercharger .



6. Remove the right engine mount strut at the right engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side .



7. Remove the right engine mount strut bracket nuts and stud.
8. Remove the right engine mount strut bracket from the cylinder head.

1. Install the right engine mount strut bracket to the cylinder head.



2. Install the electronic ignition module harness assembly to the stud, as shown.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

3. Install the right engine mount strut bracket nuts and stud.

Tighten
Tighten the right engine mount strut bracket nuts and stud to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).




4. Install the right engine mount strut to the right engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side .



5. Install the supercharger drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Supercharger .



6. Install the upper supercharger drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement - Upper .
7. Install the supercharger drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .



8. Install the ignition coil. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L (L26 and L32).
9. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
