Programming Features

Enter Programming Mode

Perform the following steps in order to enter the programming mode:

  1. Press the Options button on the DIC until the personal programming mode appears.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to scroll through the menu.

Exterior Lighting Delay

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Exterior Lighting Delay feature:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Exterior Lighting Delay is displayed.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • OFF
    • 15 SEC
    • 30 SEC
    • 60 SEC
    • 90 SEC
  4. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature.

Interior Lights When Door Closed

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Interior Lights When Door Closed feature:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Interior Lights When Door Closed is displayed.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • OFF
    • ON
  4. If ON is selected, the interior lights will stay on for 25 seconds after the last door is closed.
  5. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature.

Interior Lights When Key Removed

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Interior Lights When Door Closed feature:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Interior Lights When Door Closed is displayed.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • OFF
    • ON
  4. If ON is selected, the interior lights will turn on for 25 seconds after the key is removed from the ignition.
  5. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature.

Auto Door Lock

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the auto door lock feature:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Auto Door Lock is displayed.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • OFF
    • ON
  4. If ON is selected, the doors automatically lock when the door are closed and the vehicle is shifted into Drive (D).
  5. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature.

Auto Door Unlock

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the auto door unlock feature:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Auto Door Unlock is displayed.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • OFF
    • DRIVER
    • ALL
  4. This feature allows the driver to determine which door(s) will automatically unlock when the vehicle is shifted into Park (P)
  5. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature.

Auto Door Unlock On

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the auto door unlock feature if DRIVER or ALL was selected in the Auto Door Unlock feature:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Auto Door Unlock is displayed and DRIVER or ALL is selected.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • KEY-OUT: The Auto Door Unlock will function when the key is removed from the ignition.
    • PARK: The Auto Door Unlock will function when the transaxle is shifted into Park (P).
  4. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature.

Delayed Locking

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the delayed locking feature:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Delayed Locking is displayed.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • OFF
    • ON
  4. If ON is selected, the doors automatically delay locking for 25 seconds after the door lock is pressed while any of the doors are open. The key must be out of the ignition for this feature to work.
  5. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature.

Remote Locks Feedback

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the remote locks feedback feature:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Remote Locks Feedback is displayed.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • OFF
    • LIGHTS
    • LIGHTS and HORN
  4. If LIGHTS is selected, the exterior lights will flash when LOCK is pressed on the remote key fob.
  5. If LIGHTS and HORN is selected, the exterior lights will flas and the horn will sound once when LOCK is pressed on the remote key fob.
  6. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature. If The vehicle is not equipped with theft deterrent, the personalization programming will be finished.

Theft Deterrent (if equipped)

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the content theft deterrent options:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Theft Deterrent is displayed.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • OFF
    • ON
  4. If OFF is selected the theft deterrent option will not function.
  5. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature.

Key Cylinder Disarm (if equipped with Theft Deterrent)

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the content Key Cylinder Disarm options:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Key Cylinder Disarm is displayed.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • OFF
    • ON
  4. If OFF is selected, the content theft deterrent system WILL NOT disarm when the vehicle unlocked using the door lock.
  5. If ON is selected, the content theft deterrent system WILL disarm when the vehicle unlocked using the door lock.
  6. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature.

Lock Switch Arm (if equipped with Theft Deterrent)

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the content Key Cylinder Disarm options:

  1. Scroll through the menu, using the Options button, until Theft Deterrent is displayed. If Theft Deterrent is programmed to ON, this feature will be programmable.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to enter the menu and to scroll through the following options.
  3. • OFF
    • ON
  4. If ON is selected, the content theft deterrent system will arm when the doors are locked with the door lock switch. The key must be removed from the ignition to when the doors are locked or the theft system will not arm.
  5. Press the Options button again in order to set the desired selection and to move to the next feature.

Programming Finished

Continue with the following steps in order to exit the programming mode:

  1. Press the Options button to advance to the Programming Finished screen.
  2. The DIC will count down and go blank. Press the Options button again to advance to a new screen.

Programming Features with the Tech 2

To enter programming with the Tech 2 , perform the following actions:

  1. Install the scan tool.
  2. Turn the ignition ON with the engine OFF.
  3. Select the model year and vehicle.
  4. Select Body.
  5. Select Body Control Module
  6. Select Special Functions
  7. Select Personalization.

Delay Interior Lights

Continue with the following steps in order to program the Delay Interior Lights feature:

  1. Select Set Options.
  2. Select F0 for Delay Interior Lights mode.
  3. Highlight the desired mode.
  4. Press the ENTER button to turn the mode ON or OFF. (You must turn the current mode OFF before you can turn another one ON.)
  5. Select Save Options.
  6. Exit the menu.

Delay Int. Lights Key Out

Continue with the following steps in order to program the Delay Int. Lights Key Out feature:

  1. Select Set Options.
  2. Select F1 for Delay Int. Lights Key Out mode.
  3. Highlight the desired mode.
  4. Press the ENTER button to turn the mode ON or OFF. (You must turn the current mode OFF before you can turn another one ON.)
  5. Select Save Options.
  6. Exit the menu.

Remote Audible Verification Mode

Continue with the following steps in order to program the Remote Audible Verification Mode:

  1. Select Set Options.
  2. Select F2 for Remote Audible Verification Mode.
  3. Highlight the desired mode.
  4. Press the ENTER button to turn the mode ON or OFF. (You must turn the current mode OFF before you can turn another one ON.)
  5. Select Save Options.
  6. Exit the menu.

Remote Visual Verification Mode

Continue with the following steps in order to program the Remote Visual Verification Mode:

  1. Select Set Options.
  2. Select F3 for Remote Visual Verification Mode.
  3. Highlight the desired mode.
  4. Press the ENTER button to turn the mode ON or OFF. (You must turn the current mode OFF before you can turn another one ON.)
  5. Select Save Options.
  6. Exit the menu.

Driver 1 Auto. Door Lock Mode

Continue with the following steps in order to program the Driver 1 Auto. Door Lock Mode feature:

  1. Select Set Options.
  2. Select F4 for Driver 1 Auto. Door Lock Mode.
  3. Highlight the desired mode.
  4. Press the ENTER button to turn the mode ON or OFF. (You must turn the current mode OFF before you can turn another one ON.)
  5. Select Save Options.
  6. Exit the menu.

Driver 1 Auto. Door Unlock Method

Continue with the following steps in order to program the Driver 1 Auto. Door Unlock Method feature:

  1. Select Set Options.
  2. Select F5 for Driver 1 Auto. Door Unlock Method.
  3. Highlight the desired mode.
  4. Press the ENTER button to turn the mode ON or OFF. (You must turn the current mode OFF before you can turn another one ON.)
  5. Select Save Options.
  6. Exit the menu.

Driver 1 Auto. Door Unlock Mode

Continue with the following steps in order to program the Driver 1 Auto. Door Unlock Mode feature:

  1. Select Set Options.
  2. Select F6 for Driver 1 Auto. Door Unlock Mode.
  3. Highlight the desired mode.
  4. Press the ENTER button to turn the mode ON or OFF. (You must turn the current mode OFF before you can turn another one ON.)
  5. Select Save Options.
  6. Exit the menu.
