Removal Procedure

    Important: A new sunroof module assembly will not have the sunroof window or sunshade as components of the new service part.

  1. The old sunroof window and sunshade will need to be installed to the new sunroof module assembly.
  2. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 647217  Size: SH
  4. Remove the sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
  5. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
  6. Remove the rear window trim panel as necessary to access the sunroof harness electrical connector. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sunroof module.

  8. Object Number: 791513  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the front and rear drain hoses from the sunroof module.

  10. Object Number: 317129  Size: MH
  11. Have an assistant support the sunroof module.
  12. Remove the bolts from the sunroof module.
  13. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle with an assistant.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 317129  Size: MH
  1. Position the sunroof module to the vehicle roof with an assistant.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the sunroof module bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof module bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the front and rear drain hoses to the sunroof module.

  6. Object Number: 647217  Size: SH
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the sunroof module.
  8. Install the sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
  9. Install the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
  10. Check for proper operation of the sunroof. Refer to Sunroof Description and Operation .
  11. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
  12. Install the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement.
