Current Or Intermittent DTC C0197 - keywords abs brake indicator lamp light off stabilitrak stability

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

The ABS and Stability Off indicators come on with a current or history C0197.

Inspect the wire harness under the center console going to the combination yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor. Pay careful attention to the wire harness routing by the shifter assembly. If the wire harness is pinched under the shifter repair the wiring per SI procedures and submit a product report per TSB 02-00-89-002F.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
