It is now possible to install 1990 vented front rotor brake systems on all past model LeMans vehicles with solid front brake rotors. Vented rotors will reduce brake temperature and thus increase front brake pad life.

1. Remove and replace front rotors per instructions in the service manual, section 5. Do not remove calipers and do not install front brake pads.
2. Remove the caliper outer halves retained by two bolts. Item 5. Do not remove the caliper.
3. Install the new caliper halves #3494359 using new bolts #3487214. Torque to 80-110 N.m (60-80 lbs. ft.)
4. Install new front pads #18017995 with new retention pins #3487487. Be sure pads are in the proper location, the pads with wear indicators should be against the piston.
5. Complete installation and road test vehicle.
