Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

    2. Object Number: 1220934 Size: SH
  2. Remove the bolt (1), the nut, and the washer which secure the lateral rod to the body bracket.

    3. Object Number: 1220935 Size: SH
  3. Remove the nut (1) that secures the lateral rod to the rear axle.
  4. Remove the lateral rod from the vehicle.

    5. Object Number: 1220938 Size: SH
  5. Remove the axle side bushings and washers from the lateral rod.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1220944 Size: SH
  1. Install the axle side bushings and washers to the lateral rod.
  2. Install the lateral rod to the rear axle.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the side nut (1) that secures the lateral rod to the rear axle.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 35-55 N·m (25-41 lb ft).

  4. Install the bolt (1), the washer, and the nut which secure the lateral rod to the body bracket.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50-70 N·m (37-52 lb ft).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
