Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1223565  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
  3. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
  4. Loosen the condenser pipe-to-compressor pipe fitting (2).
  5. Loosen the condenser pipe-to-receiver dryer pipe fitting (1).

  7. Remove the condenser mounting nuts (1).
  8. Push the top of the condenser (2).
  9. Take off the condenser from the lower bracket by lifting the condenser (4).
  10. Remove the condenser (3).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1223571  Size: SH

    Important: Discard the removed O-rings.

  1. Install the condenser with the nuts (1).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the condenser mounting nuts to 4 N·m (36 lb in).

  3. Install the fittings and the bolt (1, 2).
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the condenser pipe-to-compressor pipe fitting to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
        • Tighten the condenser pipe-to-receiver dryer pipe fitting to 14 N·m (10.5 lb ft).
  5. Evacuate and recharge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  6. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
