Removal Procedure
- Remove the brake drum. Refer to Brake Drum Replacement.
- Remove the brake shoe components. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement.
- Remove the wheel cylinder assembly. Refer to Wheel Cylinder Replacement.
- Remove the bolts and the backing plate.
Installation Procedure
- Install the bolts and the backing plate (1). Tighten the backing plate-to-rear axle bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the wheel cylinder assembly. Refer to Wheel Cylinder Replacement.
- Install the brake shoe components. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement.
- Install the brake drum. Refer to Brake Drum Replacement.
