  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between the driver/passenger seat adjuster motor assembly connector C1 terminal A and ground.
  2. Set and hold the driver/passenger entire seat adjuster switch to forward.

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between the driver/passenger seat adjuster motor assembly connector C1 terminal B and ground.
  2. Set and hold the driver/passenger entire seat adjuster switch to back.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between the driver/passenger seat adjuster motor assembly connector C1 terminal A and terminal B.
  2. Set and hold the driver/passenger entire seat adjuster switch to forward and then release.
  3. Set and hold the driver/passenger entire seat adjuster switch to back and then release.

Does the test lamp light in both directions?

Inspect for a poor connection at the driver/passenger seat adjuster motor assembly connector C1 terminal A or terminal B.

Does a poor connection exist at the driver/passenger seat adjuster motor assembly connector C1 terminal A or terminal B?

  1. Repair the poor connection at the driver/passenger seat adjuster motor assembly connector C1 terminal A or terminal B.
  2. Inspect the system.

  1. Replace the driver/passenger seat adjuster motor assembly. Refer to Power Seat Adjuster Mechanism Replacement
  2. Inspect the system.
