Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat. Refer to
Bucket Seat Replacement
.
- Remove the seat back cover. Refer to
Front Seat Back Cushion Cover Replacement
.
- Remove the seat back pad. Refer to
Front Seat Back Cushion Pad Replacement
.
- Remove the cardboard panel from the lumbar.
- Carefully bend up the seat back retainers that secure the lumbar
to the seat back frame.
- Remove the lumbar actuator screws.
- Remove the lumbar assembly and cable from the seat back frame.
Installation Procedure
- Install the lumbar assembly and cable to the
seat back frame.
- Install the lumbar actuator to the seat back frame.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the lumbar
actuator screws.
Tighten
Tighten the lumbar actuator screws to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
- Carefully bend down the seat back retainers in order to secure
the lumbar mechanism to the seat back frame.
- Install the cardboard panel to the lumbar.
- Install the seat back pad. Refer to

- Install the seat back cover. Refer to
Front Seat Back Cushion Cover Replacement

- Install the front seat. Refer to
Bucket Seat Replacement
