Effective with the receipt of the February update of the 1993 Pontiac Labor Time Guide, please note the following changes to wiring and/or connector repair labor operations:
* Straight time recording is now required.
* Labor time will be paid for the actual time spent from .1 to .5 hours.
* The appropriate labor operation should be used with the . 1 to .5 time submitted in the regular labor hours column.
* Actual time spent greater than .5 which has been appropriately approved by the Service Manager/Service Director may be submitted in the other labor hours column.
* These new procedures for wire and/or connector repairs apply to ALL model year vehicles at this time and any revisions to past model year Labor Time Guides will reflect these changes.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
