The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
On rare occasions, a SES light may be experienced due to a P2431 DTC. This may be due to an incorrect BARO reading that can occur if the ignition is turned on immediately following engine shut down. If this occurs, the PCM can store an inaccurate BARO reading, causing a P2431 DTC once the engine is restarted.
If the DTC occurs at the above conditions and the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for the DTC, reprogram the ECM with the latest TIS2000 calibrations

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
