Condition/Concern:
A P2431 DTC may be experienced shortly after replacing the ECM for an unrelated concern. Typically, this is the result of installing a 2005 model year ECM in a 2006 model year vehicle.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the concern above is encountered, ensure that the correct ECM was installed when the previous repairs were performed.
At this time, the correct part numbers are:
12599714 - 2006 Cobalt and Pursuit with 2.2L Engine (VIN F - RPO L61)
12599726 - 2006 Saturn Ion with 2.2L Engine (VIN F - RPO L61)
