TWIST IN THE SEAT BELT WEBBING BETWEEN THE PILLAR

SUBJECT: TWIST IN THE SEAT BELT WEBBING BETWEEN THE PILLAR GUIDE LOOP AND THE RETRACTOR (UNTWIST/FOLD WEBBING TO PASS THROUGH THE GUIDE LOOP)

MODELS: 1995-96 CHEVROLET CAVALIER SEDAN 1995-96 PONTIAC SUNFIRE SEDAN

CONDITION:

SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON A TWIST IN THE FRONT SEAT BELT WEBBING BETWEEN THE PILLAR GUIDE LOOP AND THE RETRACTOR.

CORRECTION:

DO NOT REMOVE THE GUIDE LOOP COVER, CENTER PILLAR UPPER TRIM PANEL, OR RETRACTOR TO CORRECT THE TWIST IN THE SEAT BELT WEBBING.

INSTEAD, UNTWIST THE SEAT BELT AND FOLD THE WEBBING TO ALLOW THE TWIST TO PASS THROUGH THE SEAT BELT GUIDE LOOP.

THE SEAT BELT WEBBING SHOULD BE FLAT WITHOUT ANY TWISTS.
