Important: A short to ground will cause an open fuse(s). Before performing this diagnostic procedure, inspect the fuse(s) for an open.

  1. Disconnect the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly connector.
  2. Connect the test lamp between terminal D of the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly harness connector C1 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Connect the fused jumper between terminal D and terminal F of the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly harness connector.

Do the park, marker and tail lamps light?

Repair the open in CKT 240 between the fuse block and the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly harness connector. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly.

Repair the open in CKT 9 between the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly and splice (S117 Front lights) (S300 Rear lights). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
