The passenger front seat E-Z entry system has the adjuster release lever located on the outer adjuster. The inner adjuster acts as a slave unit. Perform the following steps in order to activate the inner adjuster:

  1. Lift the seat back latch.
  2. Move the seat back forward.

When you enter the rear seating area, the forward movement of the seat back trips a cable. The cable releases a lock bar on the adjuster. This action allows the seat to move forward in order to provide more room for passenger entry into the rear seat.

Apply rearward pressure to the top of the seat back in order to return the seat to the original position. The seat moves rearward until the E-Z entry lock feature engages.
