Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the nut from the accessory wiring junction block.
  2. Remove the accessory wiring junction block from the diagonal cross brace.
  3. Remove the diagonal cross brace. Refer to Section 10-5.
  4. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in General Information.
  5. Disconnect the battery (positive) cable.
  6. Remove the battery hold down retainer.

    7. Object Number: 161292 Size: SH

    Important: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.

  7. Remove the battery.
  8. Remove the battery insulator from the battery.

    9. Object Number: 161294 Size: SH

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the battery insulator to the battery.

    2. Object Number: 161294 Size: SH

    Important: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during installation.

  2. Install the battery.
  3. Install the battery hold down retainer.

    4. Object Number: 161292 Size: SH
  4. Install the battery (positive) cable to the battery.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the battery (positive) cable to 15 N·m (11 lb  ft).

  5. Install the battery ground (negative) cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in General Information.
  6. Install the diagonal cross brace. Refer to Section 10-5.
  7. Install the accessory wiring junction block form the diagonal cross brace.
  8. Install the nut from the accessory wiring junction block.
