Removal Procedure
- Remove the auto level
control air compressor from the vehicle. Remove the air dryer from the auto
level control air compressor. Refer to Air Compressor Motor and Head Description
and Air Dryer Description

- Remove the wiring terminals B and C from the auto level
control air compressor electrical connector.
- Remove the bolts/screws from the auto level control air compressor
head (2).
- Remove the auto level control air compressor head (2).
- Remove the O-ring (4) from the auto level control air compressor.
- Remove the auto level control air compressor head (2) and the
bolts/screws.
Installation Procedure
- Route the wires through
the tie strap and the conduit.
- Install the O-ring (4) to the auto level control air compressor.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the auto
level control air compressor head and the bolts/ screws.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts/screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Install the wiring to terminals B and C on the auto level
control air compressor electrical connector.
- Install the air dryer to the auto level control air compressor.
Then install the compressor to the vehicle. Refer to Air Compressor Motor and Head Description
and Air Dryer Description
