Removal Procedure
- Remove the auto level control air compressor from the vehicle. Refer to
Air Compressor Replacement
.
- Remove the bolt and the auto level control air compressor relay
from the auto level control air compressor bracket (3).
- Remove the remaining bolt and push in the retainers holding the
rubber shield (2) to the bracket.
- Disconnect the auto level control air compressor electrical connector
from the bracket.
- Remove the bolts retaining the auto level control air compressor
to the bracket, and the bracket from the auto level control air compressor.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bracket
and bolts to the auto level control air compressor.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Reconnect the auto level control air compressor electrical connector
to the bracket.
- Install the rubber shield (2) , the bolt, and push in the retainers
to the bracket (3).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the auto level control air compressor relay and bolt to
the auto level control air compressor bracket (3).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the auto level control air compressor to the vehicle.
