Was the entire Power Windows System Check performed?

1. Place the ignition switch into the RUN position.
2. Using a test lamp, backprobe the right front window switch connector from terminal F to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the right front window switch. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 5

--

Repair the open in CKT 141, between the right front window switch and S307.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 5

--

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Reconnect all connectors/components removed.

Have all the repairs been made?

Was the entire Power Windows System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Power Windows System Check

1. Disconnect the left front window switch.
2. Disconnect the right front window switch.
3. Check for a short to ground in CKT 166 and 167.

Is a short to ground present?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Repair the short to ground.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 5

Replace the left front window switch. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 5

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Reconnect all connectors/components removed.

Have all the repairs been made?

Was the entire Power Windows System Check performed?

1. Place the ignition switch into the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the right front window switch.
3. Place the ignition switch into the RUN position.
4. Using a test light, backprobe the right front window switch connector from terminals H and D.
5. Press the left front window switch to the UP and DOWN positions.

Does the test lamp light in both cases?

Go to Step 3

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the right front window regulator motor.
3. Check for a short to ground and continuity in CKT 666 and CKT 667.

Are either of these conditions present?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

1. Using a test light, backprobe the left front window switch connector from terminals B and F.
2. Press the left front window switch to the UP and DOWN positions.

Does the test lamp light in both cases?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

1. Reconnect the right front window switch.
2. Place the ignition switch into the RUN position.
3. Using a test light, backprobe the right front window switch connector from terminals A and E.
4. Press the right front window switch to the UP and DOWN positions.

Does the test lamp light in both cases?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 10

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 666 or CKT 667.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 11

Repair the open in CKT 166 or CKT 167.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 11

Replace the left front window switch. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 11

Replace the right front window regulator motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the right front window switch. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Reconnect all connectors/components removed.
