SES Light Due To DTCs P043E P043f P2401 P2402 P2419 - keywords canister EVAP light MIL

This PI was superseded to correct the VIN designation of the engine. Please discard PIP3716.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

On rare occasions, a SES Light may be experienced with DTCs P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, and P2419. This PI only applies if all 5 DTCs are stored together. If all 5 DTCs are stored together, this may be the result of a concern with the EVAP Vacuum Leak Pump, which is part of the EVAP canister.

If DTCs P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, and P2419 are ALL stored together, replace the EVAP canister using the part number listed in the parts catalog. There have not been any EVAP canister part number changes due to this but the new canister from parts is manufactured with an improved EVAP Vacuum Leak Pump to address this concern.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
