Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 885601  Size: SH
  1. Remove the brake booster assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding in Hydraulic Brakes.
  2. Disconnect the clutch reservoir tube from the clutch master cylinder assembly.

  3. Object Number: 885605  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the pipe from the clutch master cylinder.

  5. Object Number: 885330  Size: SH
  6. Remove the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis pin and clip.

  7. Object Number: 885637  Size: SH
  8. Remove the 2 clutch master cylinder retaining nuts.
  9. Remove the clutch master cylinder from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the clutch master cylinder in the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 885637  Size: SH
  3. Install the clutch master cylinder retaining nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the clutch master cylinder retaining nuts to 12 N·m (9 lb ft).

  5. Install the clevis pin and clip.

  6. Object Number: 885605  Size: SH
  7. Install the hydraulic pipe to the clutch master cylinder.
  8. Install the brake booster assembly in the vehicle. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding in Hydraulic Brakes.

  9. Object Number: 885601  Size: SH
  10. Connect the reservoir tube to the clutch master cylinder.
  11. Bleed the clutch. Refer to Power Vacuum Brake Booster Replacement
