Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2009 🢒 Vibe - FWD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.4L (LAX) 🢒 Oil Pump Installation

    Object Number: 2014179 Size: SH
  1. Coat the drive rotor and driven rotor with engine oil.
  2. Place the drive and driven rotors into the oil pump with the marks (1) facing the pump cover side.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the oil pump cover with the 5 bolts (1-5).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten to 8.8 N·m (78 lb in).

  4. Coat the relief valve with engine oil.

    5. Object Number: 2014166 Size: SH
  5. Insert the relief valve (3) and spring (2) into the pump body hole.
  6. Using a 27 mm socket wrench, install the plug (1).

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the plug to 49 N·m (36 lb ft).

  7. Install a new gasket and the oil strainer with the 2 nuts (1, 2).

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 8.8 N·m (78 lb in).
