Removal Procedure
- Remove the front side door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.
- Remove the front door lock cylinder. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement.
- Remove the outer handle, by sliding towards rear of door, the pull to remove.
- Disengage the two clips and remove the front door front outside handle pad.
- Disengage the two clips and remove the front door rear outside handle pad.
- Remove the TORX screw (3) from the outside handle frame (4).
- Disengage the handle frame clip (1).
- Disengage the clip (2) and remove the front door outside handle frame (4).
- Disengage the front door lock rod, if necessary.
Installation Procedure
- Engage the front door lock rod, if removed.
- Engage the clip (2) and install the front door outside handle frame (4).
- Engage the handle frame clip (1).
- Install the TORX screw (3) to the outside handle frame (4) and tighten to 4.0 N·m (35 lb in).
- Engage the two clips and remove the front door rear outside handle pad.
- Engage the two clips and remove the front door front outside handle pad.
- Install the outer handle, by sliding towards front of door.
- Install the front door lock cylinder. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement.
- Install the front side door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.
Note: Apply multipurpose grease to the sliding parts of the front door outside handle frame assembly.
